Day 1 - Today everyone will arrive in Nelson,( whether you get here on your own or we pick you up at the airport) You'll get the paperwork taken care of and meet your bike and your guide. Tonight is up to you, the Heritage inn where you will be staying offers three different eating and drinking establishments to choose from or you can explore the beautiful heritage town of Nelson.
Day 2 - This morning we ride up the north shore of Kootenay Lake and take the worlds longest ( and possibly most beautiful ) free ferry ride over to the east shore. Here we have one of Canada’s top ranking motorcycle roads winding its way along the shore of Kootenay Lake. Between the spectacular lake views and the attention given to the amazingly twisty road its almost a sensory overload ! Passing on through the charming small town of Creston, rich with orchards and farm land , we’ll come to the Moyie Pub a nice biker friendly pub and great lunch stop. After lunch Fort Steele a restored boomtown of the 1890’s beckons us with its colourful characters from the past, horse drawn wagons, and steam train. Back onto our modern day chrome horses and onward to Radium for the night. Here you can go for a soak in the hot springs, and you certainly shouldn’t miss a chance to visit Radium’s wood carver, a guaranteed one of a kind experience !

Day 3 – Wildlife viewing opportunities abound along the 150 km long Columbia Wetland habitat paralleling hwy 95 as we head north to Golden. From the beautiful mountain town of Golden the Trans Canada takes us through Glacier National Park. With over 400 glaciers covering one-tenth of its area it is a stunning setting for a ride.
After passing through Mount Revelstoke National Park, home to rare old growth rain forest containing cedar trees that are over 800 years old, we will find ourselves in another lovely mountain ringed town – Revelstoke. Rolling west we leave the mountains behind for rolling hills and green farm lands, and our very favorite bed and breakfast. Situated on the bank of the Skookumchuck River a two minute ride away from the crystal clear waters of Mabel Lake is Loris’ house.
Day 4 - After watching our hostess Loris grind her own flour and turn it into the best pancakes you have ever tasted with organic fruit salad, bison sausage, maple syrup, and much more no one will want to leave. So we will have a free day here, there will be the option of going kayaking, golfing, tubeing down the river, going for a ride, or simply enjoying the peace and quiet of Loris' beautiful home.
Day 5 – After one more of Loris’ amazing gourmet meals we must be on our way, at Vernon we turn onto hwy 6, another one of B.C’s top ranking motorcycle roads. The highway from Lumby to Cherryville and on through the Monashee mountains just gets better and better as we go eventually delivering us to the free ferry from Faquier to Needles. A beautiful ride along the shore of Upper Arrow lake takes us to the lake side village of Nakusp, a few minutes further and we are high in the Columbia mountains soaking in the pool at Nakusp hot springs.

Day 6 – Across the Valhalla mountain range we will come to the old mining town of New Denver on the shore of Slocan Lake. On our way to Kaslo we can stop in at the ghost town of Sandon before proceeding along another outrageously good motorcycling road, (although it is liberally dotted with pot holes that need to be avoided.) Riding through the lakeside heritage town of Kaslo you’ll see beautifully kept up 19’th century buildings and the restored SS. Moyie, the worlds oldest sternwheeler.
A stop at Toad Rock, the worlds only motorcycle campground with a golf course is definitely in order, after a beer in the open air self serve bar we’ll roll on down the lake shore back to beautiful Nelson for our last night together.
